The Yealands Hoop Top Fencing Style 31

Dating from the Victorian and Edwardian eras and much used in both public and private gardens, hoop top fencing was a popular means of encircling features within a garden in a manner that was both decorative and functional. Items that were produced to high specifications and properly maintained are still gracing locations today.

The style illustrated here is slightly unusual in that the bows stretch across more uprights than is normally the case, the overlapping pattern becoming slightly longer and more complex than is seen in many other forms of this type of fencing.

This particular design can be found offered by major producers of the day, appearing in the Victorian Garden Catalogue and the catalogue of the Bayliss, Jones and Bayliss Company, prodigious producers of high quality gates, railings and fences in both cast and wrought iron and offering both decorative and functional designs, along with examples such as this that combines both elements.

Produced to the original historic designs by Lost Art Limited, we make use of good quality materials, heavy gauge wrought iron and our panels are electroplated prior to powder coating, in order to offer further protection against both the weather and the passage and ravages of time.

The above measurements do not include the legs of the uprights which are inserted into the ground to the required depth.

These items are not to be confused with apparently similar but low specification items.  Our products are electroplated prior to powder coating, providing 2 levels of corrosion inhibition and therefore an extended life and lower maintenance requirement.

Fencing is finished with a tough powder coating finish in Black.
